Too many leaders avoid workplace conflict at all costs -- and that's a dangerous habit, writes Ron Ashkenas. A culture of "niceness" tends to produce a mindset in which people are afraid to ask important but awkward questions, or to launch any innovations that might rock the boat, Ashkenas argues.
